HAPPENING NOW: West Seattle Kiwanis returns to Farmers’ Market! 3 reasons to say hi
It’s the busiest season for Denis Sapiro and his West Seattle Kiwanis clubmates. Their booth holds down the south end of the Farmers’ Market on Sundays through early December, and there are at least three reasons to stop to visit. One is in our photo with Denis – they’re selling tickets to their annual Pancake Breakfast on December 5, a holiday celebration that also includes photos with Santa Claus. You can also stop by the booth to donate new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots, any Sunday through early December:
(Denis tells us C & P Coffee and Northwest Art and Frame have collection boxes too.) And the Kiwanis booth has free activities for kids – pumpkin themes today, and Denis had table full of participants just minutes after 10:
The Kiwanis Club of West Seattle also does other community work including sponsoring Key Clubs at local high schools and other youth organizations/activities.
P.S. The Pancake Breakfast welcomes more community co-sponsors! (We’re signing up again this year.) Here’s how.
